A block of guest rooms has been reserved for symposium attendees at a special rate of $149.00 per night plus applicable tax until July 30, 2010, subject to availability (reserve early). In-room internet service is complimentary for registered guests of the symposium. The regular non-pre-paid room rate is $269.00 and internet service is $9.95 per night.

Ottawa invites you to visit the city and as an added bonus, the discounted rate of $149.00 per night will be made available before and after the symposium, subject to availability (reserve early). Travel and Transportation

Located in the eastern portion of the province of Ontario, it is less than a two-hour drive west of Montreal, a one-hour flight east of Toronto, and a one-hour drive north of the Canada/U.S. border. Getting here is easy, whether by road, air, rail, or even by boat. Once you arrive, it is a compact, efficient city with a variety of local bus, taxi and limousine services.

Ottawa International Airport

Located just a 20-minute drive from downtown, Ottawa's state-of-the-art international airport serves airlines offering flights to most major cities in Canada and the Eastern US, with seasonal services to Europe, the Caribbean and South America. There are additional international airports 1.5 hours away (Montreal) and 4 hours away (Toronto) and direct flights are available from most major cities to these airports, including New York, Washington, Paris and London.

Train

VIA Rail offers regular train service to Ottawa from points east and west, with the Ottawa VIA station located just minutes east of downtown and a new station located in the west.

Bus and Taxi

OC Transpo offers rapid transit services to downtown Ottawa from the Ottawa International Airport, the Ottawa train Station, and the Ottawa bus terminal and is a safe and affordable way to get around the city.
