A “Technology Showcase” is being organized in conjunction with the 13th International Symposium on Recent Advances in Intrusion Detection (RAID) and the 7th International Symposium on Visualization for Cyber Security (VizSec) to be held in Ottawa, Ontario from September 14-17, 2010. Past conferences have attracted more than 200 specialists from industry, academia and government organizations from around the world. Space is limited and will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Act quickly to ensure your organization has an opportunity to showcase its latest innovations at these unique events.
Attendance
RAID and VizSec are international events that bring together leading researchers and practitioners from academia, government, and industry. Attendees are from prestigious universities, government and high technology organizations all over the world. 40% of those attending VizSec are also expected to attend RAID.
Attendees typically include:
- Researchers working in the field of computer and information security
- Academics studying or teaching the field of cyber security
- Incident response and security teams with responsibility for coordinating computer, information and network security
- Technical staff who determine information security product needs and who implement solutions
- Anyone wanting to learn more about computer security in general
The Symposiums
VizSec is a one day event that will be held on September 14. RAID will start mid day September 15 and end mid day September 17, 2010. Both events will have paper and poster presentations, networking events and a technology showcase.
Criteria for participation in the Technology Showcase:
- Innovative technologies (minimum of 1) related to the field of cyber security, the use information visualization and/or intrusion detection must be demonstrated at the booth
- There must be qualified people available that can answer technical questions, at the booth, during networking hours. This is meant to be an opportunity for technical discussions among the industry’s finest
The Investment
10 X 8 footprint $3,000.00 plus tax must be paid prior to July 30, 2010 ($3,390.00 CDN), $3,500.00 plus tax after July 30, 2010 ($3,955.00 CDN). The package includes:
- One registration for RAID and one for VizSec
- Carpeted exhibit space
- Skirted 6 foot table with 2 chairs
- An exhibitor listing in the program guide
- Networking time with both RAID and VizSec attendees
Booths will be set up during both conferences in rooms adjacent to the plenary. The program will have designated times set aside for the delegates to visit the showcase. During non-mandated times, the booths will not need to be staffed which will provide the opportunity for showcase staffers to attend the symposium plenary.
Possible topics for showcase demonstrations:
